Oct 22, 2026

Cr Gail Driscoll has been re-elected unopposed as Chairperson of Riverina Water at a Board election held in Culcairn on Thursday 22 October.

Cr Jenny McKinnon was elected Deputy Chairperson.

Cr Driscoll joined the Board in 2022 and was elected Deputy Chairperson in 2024. She became Riverina Water’s first female Chair in April 2026 following the resignation of former Chair Tim Koschel.

Cr Driscoll, who is currently the Deputy Mayor of Lockhart Shire Council, thanked her fellow Board members for their support.

“I am honoured to be re-elected and thank my fellow Board members for their confidence in me,” Cr Driscoll said.

“Riverina Water has a proven record of delivering safe and reliable water supply to our community at the lowest sustainable cost, and that remains our absolute priority. I look forward to continuing to work with the Board and Riverina Water’s dedicated staff to serve our community of more than 77,000 people.”

“I would also like to thank Cr Allana Condron for her dedication and service as Deputy Chairperson over the past six months. Her support has been greatly valued.”

Riverina Water Chief Executive Officer Andrew Crakanthorp congratulated Cr Driscoll and Cr McKinnon on their respective appointments.

“Congratulations to Cr Driscoll on her return as Chairperson and to Cr McKinnon on becoming Deputy Chairperson. I look forward to collaborating with the Board to deliver key projects and initiatives that benefit our community,” Mr Crakanthorp said.

Both councillors will hold their respective positions for two years, from October 2026 until September 2028 at the end of the Board's term.
